Andrés Lainati, del área de Planificación y Gestión de Obras del municipio, sostuvo que el hormigonado de gran parte de la avenida Faustino Molina se decidió debido a que el mantenimiento del asfalto existente, con bacheos permanentes por su estado, representaba costos muy altos para el municipio, por lo que convenía hacer una reparación total para contar con una solución definitiva.
“En la remoción del asfalto, nos hemos encontrado con espesores muy variables de 2 a 5 centímetros, mientras que la base no estaba en condiciones”, indicó.
Explicó que luego que personal municipal levante todo el asfalto existente, llegará el trabajo de la empresa contratada al efecto.
En ese sentido, destacó que la adjudicataria, Arrow S.R.L., se encargará de hacer la sub base, luego un estabilizado estructural con cal de la base y posteriormente llegará el hormigón simple de 15 cm. de espesor.
La obra tiene un plazo de ejecución de 180 días y un costo de $ 35.000.000, que será afrontado íntegramente con recursos municipales.
Se iniciará con el tramo entre calles Int. Vivanco e Int. Da Silva, para continuar con esa metodología hasta la rotonda del Puente de la Historia-Paseo de la Reconstrucción, inclusive.
Otro funcionario municipal del área de Obras Públicas, Walter Tamborini, también justificó el levantamiento total de la capa asfáltica por las diferencias notorias de su espesor y el deficiente estado de la base.
Sostuvo que la remoción de la capa asfáltica se hará por completo en todo el tramo a intervenir, estimándose que la tarea municipal podría concluir el martes de la próxima semana y luego la empresa irá por tramos, tratando la base y hormigonando a continuación.
El material removido se utilizará para mejorar las calles del basural en el sector Norte de la ciudad.
